Here is an example of how you do it: Suppose you are a group of college friends who are now in different parts of India. To stay in touch, create a MOB called, say, KJClass07. Here, choose subscribers as "only invited". Then click "Invitation Message", get your sample Invite Message as SMS and forward it to your friends. Once your friends join your MOB, by doing a START yourMOBName, they'll be able to receive all the messages you publish. Your friends will also be able to publish if you had set the "Who can publish to your MOB" to "All subscribers of your MOB". If you don't want all of them to have publish rights, then change the MOB type so that only users you allow can publish. You'll have to specifically give access to publishing to users via the Manage Publishers interface on http://pub.mytoday.com

Suppose you manage a big sales team in a company. You want to keep your sales team updated even when they are on the field, instantly. So you'll create a MOB called, say, A1SalesTeam. Then, you'll invite your sales team to subscribe to this MOB by sending START A1SalesTeam to 09223050606. Now every time you publish a message, they will get updated. Unlike the friends group, in this case, you may not want to give Publish rights to everyone. The default MOB type that gets created via CREATE is of this type.

The messages you publish can be received by any mobile user in India or anyone in the world who uses MyToday.mobi. Let's take an example where you are passionate about Fashion Design and want to reach out to people on this. So you'll start a MOB called, say, Fashiondesign. Initially, you could tell your friends about the MOB and ask them to subscribe to it. You can ask them in turn to tell 5 people they know. This way, people will become aware of your MOB - if it's good, they'll in turn recommend it to their friends! Your MOB could thus become popular amongst even people you don't know!

If you are a group of friends who have decided to meet for a movie on the weekend, then you may want to send a reminder to everyone some hours before the show. In this case, you could publish a message and set the date and time to when you want the message to go at http://pub.mytoday.com. Now, no matter where you are, the MOBS will send out the message at the time you wanted - and everyone will be reminded about it. You could publish as many messages for the future as you wish. And you can always change the message any time you want, before it goes out!
